At 11.43pm on Friday, May 30th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Tenby Fire Stations were called to an incident in Monkton in Pembroke.
Crews responded to a fire involving a two-storey disused farmhouse, measuring approximately 10 metres by 10 metres. The property was well alight on the crews’ arrival. Crews utilised four hose reel jets, two main jets, three thermal imaging cameras, one triple-extension ladder, small tools and scene lighting to extinguish the fire.
Crews left the scene at 3.20am on Saturday, May 31st.
At 7.34am on Saturday, May 31st, the Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven crews were mobilised to the scene again.
The fire at the property had reignited and crews were involved in dampening down the entire property. Crews established a water shuttle system and utilised one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus sets to extinguish the fire. The property continued to be monitored and investigated using thermal imaging cameras, with the final crew leaving the scene at 12.35pm.
The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally.
